Feeding your Demons

Psychological Integration and Non Dual Wisdom

Turning Towards

These workshops are suitable for anyone who wants to work deeply with their own ‘demons’.

The workshops provide a thorough grounding in this remarkable method for transforming and befriending negative emotions, fears, illness and self defeating patterns; and introduces the radical notion that to heal and transform ourselves we must ‘feed’ not fight our demons.

The process has been developed and carefully designed by LamaTsultrim Allione, author of ‘Women of Wisdom’ and ‘Feeding Your Demons’. The five steps of the practice take one through the entire process of transforming ‘demons’ into allies, whereby the energy that is caught up in inner conflict becomes liberated and available to us as a resource.

Vajralila and Sudakini have trained with Tsultrim Allione at her retreat centre in Colorado and are currently the only certified UK facilitators. They are also both fully qualified and registered Psychotherapists

Transforming the Shadow

“The process of feeding our demons is a method for bringing our shadow into consciousness and accessing the treasures it holds rather than repressing it. If the shadow is not made conscious and integrated, it operates undercover, becoming the saboteur of our best intentions, as well as causing harm the others. Bringing the shadow into awareness reduces it’s destructive power and releases the life energy stored in it. By befriending that which scares us most, we find our own wisdom.” – ‘ Feeding Your Demons’ by Lama Tsultrim Allione

Feeding Your Demons is a process that is grounded in the ancient wisdom of a female Yogini called Machig Lapdron who lived in the 11th century in Tibet. She is said to have been an enlightened woman who began a female lineage of wisdom that is still being passed down and performed today in the form of a practice called Chod. Machig integrated Shamanic wisdom, which was strong a thousand years ago (Bon Shamanism), and Tibetan Buddhism.

Lama Tsultrim Allione

Lama Tsultrim Allione is a Buddhist teacher in the Tibetan tradition. She was one of the first women to be ordained as a nun in 1970 by the 16th Karmapa. Lama Tsultrim’s understanding of the western psyche as well as her deep Buddhist insight has led her to adapt the Chod practice into a form that westerners can benefit from and this form is ‘Feeding Your Demons’.

Sudakini and Vajralila are fortunate to have trained with Lama Tsultrim both in the UK and at her centre in Colorado, called Tara Mandala.

“Working with Vajralila and Sudakini with the Feeding Your Demons process has allowed me access to deeper knowing and aspects of myself that have been hidden…or that get clouded over in our bustling world.  The combination of their solid and calm presence and skilfulness in guiding this process has been invaluable.” — Mimi, Oregon

“Meditation helps us to integrate the various aspects of our personality, yet there are some parts of us that resist this process. Anything that helps in this area is to be welcomed, and feeding your demons achieves this admirably. it was all held in a relaxed and safe way. I learnt that the subconscious is much more easily accessible than I had thought, and that I now have a very powerful tool for some radical transformation.” — Tejamitra, Sussex

“I attended my first Feeding Your Demons workshop with Sudakini and Vajralila in October 2009.  Their facilitation and teaching skills are superb!  Most importantly, they communicate and exemplify what is possible simply through who they are individually and together.  A rare alchemy exists between the pair that is quite powerful and effective in creating a true learning and growth environment.  I am grateful to them for introducing me to the practice, which has enabled me to face my demons head on instead of pushing them away.” — Vicki, Seattle

“I love this practice: it makes so much sense to me that it would be more integrating to transform the energy of my demons than to try and cut them off or demolish them. I worked on a very specific demon recently using the practice and found the results really seemed to last: I kept waiting to slip back into the old pattern, as often happens with other methods but was happily surprised to find that I did not.” — J.W. USA

“Compassionate, clear and enlightening teaching. The practice is beautiful and powerful.”

“Vajralila and Sudakini led a wonderful workshop day that helped me feed an old demon of mine in a sacred simple and safe way that can be easily done at home. Instructions were clear and it was great to be able to practice on our peers. Thank you” — Nisha

“The workshop met my expectation which was to learn more about the practice and to gain confidence about how to actually do it. I thought that the way the practice was explained was clear and lots of opportunities to practice and ask questions.” — Christine
